Through our contract with the Ambulance Team on behalf of Te Whatu Ora – Health NZ and the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC), our paramedics, pilots and crew deliver emergency air ambulance services to the sick and injured across New Zealand.
Supporting our regional Trust partners, we fly our rescue helicopters day and night, in any weather that allows our crew to operate safely, responding to emergencies, hospital transfers and everything in between.
Each mission is grounded in integrity, delivered with passion, and shaped by our constant pursuit of excellence and sense of kaitiakitanga.
We rescue people across Te Ika-a-Māui from situations where helicopter evacuation is the only or most appropriate form of help, providing lifesaving critical paramedic care on scene and as we transport them to the appropriate medical facility. We are always refining our skills, adapting to new challenges, and staying ready for whatever comes next.
Our expertise includes:
Delivering advanced emergency medical care and trauma response services in any location across our region.
Providing specialised care and interhospital transportation for critically sick and injured patients between healthcare facilities.
Conducting rescue operations on land, in mountains and the bush, and wherever our communities need us.
Performing water-based rescues, from the water and on ships and boats, including winching procedures.
Rapidly locating and responding to activated search beacons, on land and at sea.
Our Taupō-based training centre is a hub for professional development, reflecting our commitment to ongoing excellence in aviation, clinical care and rescue operations. Equipped with advanced simulation technology, it’s where our crews refine their skills in a safe and realistic environment, so they remain sharp, adaptable and ready to respond, wherever they are needed.
